Mark Ausbrooks is celebrating 31 years in education, bringing a wealth of experience, passion, and dedication to his role as an assistant principal at Hayfield Secondary School. Since rejoining Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) in the summer of 2011, he has remained committed to fostering student success and academic excellence.

Current Role & Impact

Mark A. Ausbrooks is deeply committed to advancing the mission of Ira Dorsey, working tirelessly with young people and their parents to ensure they have the greatest access to educational opportunities. With a Master of Education in Counseling and Development from George Mason University and an Admin and Supervision PreK-12 endorsement from the Virginia Department of Education, he brings a wealth of expertise to mentorship, advocacy, and educational leadership. His dedication empowers the next generation with the tools they need to succeed
